The Apple Gold Group, franchisee of Applebees restaurants in North Carolina, Oklahoma and Arkansas, is proud to have helped the Iredell Senior Center raise over $1,000 at a recent Flapjack Fundraiser. Proceeds raised will directly benefit the center and allow it to continue providing services, classes and activities for senior citizens. "Applebees is always eager to work with local organizations through our Flapjack Fundraiser program," said Michael Olander, President and CEO of the Apple Gold Group. "We are excited that the funds raised through this event will benefit the senior citizens of Iredell county." The Iredell Senior Center Flapjack Fundraiser was hosted on July 10, 2010 by the Applebees restaurant located at 115 Glenway Dr., Statesville, NC. The organization sold over 370 tickets and an additional $84 in donations was collected. Breakfast included a short stack of pancakes, sausage, milk, juice and coffee. Applebees is proud to partner with any local non-profit organization as a way to raise money for their cause. From ticket sales to event-day staff, the breakfasts are managed by the non-profit organization with the assistance of Applebees employee volunteers. Breakfasts can be held on any Saturday or Sunday morning, and cost the organization around $2 a meal. The Applebees Flapjack Fundraisers represent the restaurant chains latest efforts to remain active within its local neighborhood.
