The Apple Gold Group, a franchisee of Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill and Bar, is proud to have helped the Seventy First High School Southern Sound of Soul Marching Band raise over $2,100 at a recent Flapjack Fundraiser. Proceeds raised will go towards transportation and boarding costs for competitions.
"The Southern Sound of Soul Marching Band will use the funds raised to help offset costs for band members to attend various competitions within and outside the state," said Michael Olander, President and CEO of the Apple Gold Group. "We hope we can work with the Seventy First High School band again in the near future."
The Seventy First Marching Band fundraiser was hosted on August 25, 2012, at the Applebee’s restaurant located at 7810 Good Middling Drive, Fayetteville, NC. The organization sold 350 tickets. Breakfast included a short stack of pancakes, sausage, milk, juice and coffee.
Applebee’s is proud to partner with any local non-profit organization as a way to raise money for their cause. From ticket sales to event-day staff, the breakfasts are managed by the non-profit organization with the assistance of Applebee’s employee volunteers. Breakfasts can be held on Saturday or Sunday morning, and cost the organization around $2 a meal. The Applebee’s Flapjack Fundraisers represent the restaurant chain’s latest efforts to remain active within its local neighborhood.
