The Apple Gold Group, a franchisee of Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill and Bar, is proud to have the Knightdale Football Victory Club raise over $1,600 at a recent Flapjack Fundraiser. Proceeds raised will go towards food for pregame meals.
"It is clear that the Knightdale community is a strong supporter of its local schools and student-athletes from the great turnout at this past weekend’s Flapjack Fundraiser," said Michael Olander, President and CEO of the Apple Gold Group. "The Apple Gold Group would like to extend its thanks to the football team for its hard work, and to all of the fans who supported this event."
The Knightdale Football fundraiser was hosted on August 18, 2012, at the Applebee’s restaurant located at 6609 Knightdale Blvd., Knightdale, NC. The organization sold 300 tickets and an additional $135 in donations was collected. Breakfast included a short stack of pancakes, sausage, milk, juice and coffee.
Applebee’s is proud to partner with any local non-profit organization as a way to raise money for their cause. From ticket sales to event-day staff, the breakfasts are managed by the non-profit organization with the assistance of Applebee’s employee volunteers. Breakfasts can be held on Saturday or Sunday morning, and cost the organization around $2 a meal. The Applebee’s Flapjack Fundraisers represent the restaurant chain’s latest efforts to remain active within its local neighborhood.
