The Apple Gold Group, a franchisee of Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill and Bar, is proud to have helped the Benson American Legion Post 109, raise over $1,100 at a recent Flapjack Fundraiser. Proceeds raised will go towards community youth programs.
"Members of Post 109 were very committed to ensuring a successful fundraiser," said Michael Olander, President and CEO of the Apple Gold Group. "We would like to thank all of those who came out and supported the youth programs, and we hope to see everyone at their neighborhood grill and bar soon."
The American Legion fundraiser was hosted on August 4, 2012, at the Applebee’s restaurant located at 1260 N. Brightleaf Blvd., Smithfield, NC. The organization sold 185 tickets and an additional $5 in donations was collected. Breakfast included a short stack of pancakes, sausage, milk, juice and coffee.
Applebee’s is proud to partner with any local non-profit organization as a way to raise money for their cause. From ticket sales to event-day staff, the breakfasts are managed by the non-profit organization with the assistance of Applebee’s employee volunteers. Breakfasts can be held on Saturday or Sunday morning, and cost the organization around $2 a meal. The Applebee’s Flapjack Fundraisers represent the restaurant chain’s latest efforts to remain active within its local neighborhood.
