The Apple Gold Group, a franchisee of Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill and Bar, is proud to have helped the Robinhood Road Baptist Church raise over $1,500 at a recent Flapjack Fundraiser. Proceeds raised will go towards an overnight retreat for the church’s youth group and supplies for the youth room.
"An overnight retreat for the church’s youth will be a fun experience and we are happy to help make it possible," said Michael Olander, President and CEO of the Apple Gold Group. "We would like to thank all of those who came out and joined us for the pancake breakfast and hope to see everyone back soon."
The Robinhood Road fundraiser was hosted on July 28, 2012, at the Applebee’s restaurant located at 1990 Griffith Rd., Winston-Salem, NC. The organization sold 230 tickets and an additional $172 in donations was collected. Breakfast included a short stack of pancakes, sausage, milk, juice and coffee.
Applebee’s is proud to partner with any local non-profit organization as a way to raise money for their cause. From ticket sales to event-day staff, the breakfasts are managed by the non-profit organization with the assistance of Applebee’s employee volunteers. Breakfasts can be held on Saturday or Sunday morning, and cost the organization around $2 a meal. The Applebee’s Flapjack Fundraisers represent the restaurant chain’s latest efforts to remain active within its local neighborhood.
