The Apple Gold Group, a franchisee of Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill and Bar, is proud to have helped No Greater Love Christian Church raise over $1,200 at a recent Flapjack Fundraiser. Proceeds raised will go towards a new church building.
"Our team has enabled No Greater Love to move one more step toward developing a new building that will house a café, training classes and a daycare facility," said Michael Olander, President and CEO of the Apple Gold Group. "We would like to thank members of the Durham community for joining us and supporting the church’s goal."
The No Greater Love Christian Church fundraiser was hosted on July 28, 2012, at the Applebee’s restaurant located at 5340 McFarland Dr., Durham, NC. The organization sold 140 tickets and an additional $534 in donations was collected. Breakfast included a short stack of pancakes, sausage, milk, juice and coffee.
Applebee’s is proud to partner with any local non-profit organization as a way to raise money for their cause. From ticket sales to event-day staff, the breakfasts are managed by the non-profit organization with the assistance of Applebee’s employee volunteers. Breakfasts can be held on Saturday or Sunday morning, and cost the organization around $2 a meal. The Applebee’s Flapjack Fundraisers represent the restaurant chain’s latest efforts to remain active within its local neighborhood.
