The Apple Gold Group, franchisee of Applebee’s restaurants in North Carolina, South Carolina, Oklahoma and Arkansas, is proud to have helped Boy Scout Troop 207 raise over $1,200 at a recent Flapjack Fundraiser. Proceeds will help the troop pay for a trip to Florida National Sea Base, a Boy Scouts of America High Adventure camp, in summer of 2013.
"This camp is going to be an amazing experience for these boys," said Michael Olander, President and CEO of the Apple Gold Group. "They will learn how to sail, snorkel and work as a team. We were happy to support their efforts and we’re glad their fundraiser was a success."
The Boy Scout Troop 207 fundraiser was hosted on January 7, 2012, by the Applebee’s restaurant located at 1990 Griffith Road, Winton-Salem, NC. The organization sold 186 tickets and an additional $146 in donations was collected. Breakfast included a short stack of pancakes, sausage, milk, juice and coffee.
Applebee’s is proud to partner with any local non-profit organization as a way to raise money for their cause. From ticket sales to event-day staff, the breakfasts are managed by the non-profit organization with the assistance of Applebee’s employee volunteers. Breakfasts can be held on Saturday or Sunday morning, and cost the organization around $2 a meal. The Applebee’s Flapjack Fundraisers represent the restaurant chain’s latest efforts to remain active within its local neighborhood.
