The Apple Gold Group, franchisee of Applebee’s restaurants in North Carolina, Oklahoma and Arkansas, is proud to have helped the friends and family of Gracie Ruth O’Neal raise nearly $2,500 at a recent Flapjack Fundraiser. All proceeds raised will help offset medical expenses for Gracie Ruth O’neal, who was recently born with only three chambers in her heart and has undergone several surgeries for treatment.

"We are extremely pleased with the success from this event and to know that all of the proceeds raised will benefit Gracie Ruth’s recovery," said Michael Olander, President and CEO of the Apple Gold Group. "Gracie Ruth and her family will continue to be in our thoughts as she continues her treatment."

The Gracie Ruth O’Neal Flapjack Fundraiser was hosted on August 28, 2010 by the Applebee’s restaurant located at 1240 US Highway 29, Concord, NC. The organization sold over 200 tickets and an additional $1,300 in donations was collected. Breakfast included a short stack of pancakes, sausage, milk, juice and coffee.

Applebee’s is proud to partner with any local non-profit organization as a way to raise money for their cause. From ticket sales to event-day staff, the breakfasts are managed by the non-profit organization with the assistance of Applebee’s employee volunteers. Breakfasts can be held on any Saturday or Sunday morning, and cost the organization around $2 a meal.
