Applebee's Flapjack Fundraiser Raises Over $1,200 for Local Church's Mission Trip to Brazil
The Apple Gold Group, franchisee of Applebee's restaurants in North Carolina, Oklahoma and Arkansas, is proud to have helped Farmington Heights Church of God of Wilson, NC raise over $1,200 at a recent Flapjack Fundraiser. All proceeds raised will help support the church's mission trip to Santarem, Brazil.
"Our team had an amazing experience working with the passionate volunteers from Farmington Heights Church of God," said Michael Olander, President and CEO of Apple Gold Group. "Our Flapjack Fundraiser program has been very successful in raising funds and awareness for local non-profits throughout the local community."
The Farmington Heights Church of God Flapjack Fundraiser was hosted on February 13, 2010 by the Applebee's restaurant located on 2300 Forest Hills Dr., Wilson, NC. Over 260 people purchased tickets for $7 to attend the event and an additional $250 was raised in donations. Breakfast included a short stack of pancakes, sausage, milk, juice and coffee.
Applebee's is proud to partner with any local non-profit organization as a way to raise money for their cause. From ticket sales to event-day staff, the breakfasts are managed by the non-profit organization with the assistance of Applebee's employee volunteers. Breakfasts can be held on any Saturday or Sunday morning, and cost the organization around $2 a meal. The Applebee's Flapjack Fundraisers represent the restaurant chain's latest efforts to remain active within its local neighborhood.
