The Apple Gold Group, franchisee of Applebee’s restaurants in North Carolina, Oklahoma and Arkansas, is proud to have helped the Benton Harmony Grove Boys Basketball raise over $1,167 in just two hours at a recent Flapjack Fundraiser. The proceeds raised will be used to purchase new uniforms and fund the team’s summer camp program.
“Leading up to the Flapjack Fundraiser, the team and its fans did a great job of positioning itself to host a successful event,” said Michael Olander, President and CEO of Apple Gold Group. “We congratulate them, and hope other organizations in the community will harness the opportunity created by Applebee’s.”
The Benton Harmony Grove Boys Basketball Benefit Breakfast was hosted on December 5th by the Applebee’s restaurant located at 17348 Interstate 30, Benton, AR. The team sold 220 tickets to the event. Breakfast included a short stack of pancakes, sausage, milk, juice and coffee.
Applebee’s is proud to partner with any local non-profit organization as a way to raise money for their cause. From ticket sales to event-day staff, the breakfasts are managed by the non-profit organization with the assistance of Applebee’s employee volunteers. Breakfasts can be held on any Saturday or Sunday morning, and cost the organization around $2 a meal. The Applebee’s Flapjack Breakfasts represent the restaurant chain’s latest efforts to remain active within its local neighborhood.
