Flapjack Fundraisers
Applebee's offers community organizations the chance to raise funds by hosting a pancake breakfast for the community. These Flapjack Fundraisers are a fun and effective way to raise money. Applebee's provides our restaurant, food, and some staff for your event. We also offer you a complete set of promotional materials to ensure that your Flapjack Fundraiser is an absolute success.

The V Foundation for Cancer Research was founded in 1993 by ESPN and the late Jim Valvano, legendary NC State basketball coach and ESPN commentator. In 2007, our restaurant managers voted to make The V Foundation our company's "charity of choice" for our North Carolina Applebee's Restaurants. Each March for the past 7 years, guests who dine at any of our North Carolina Applebee's locations are invited to donate to The V Foundation for Cancer Research. For each $1 donated, guests are given a paper basketball of their favorite team to personalize and then hang in the restaurant. Since that time, with the support of our teams and guests, we have raised over $875,000 for Cancer Research. A few years ago, The V Foundation honored our ongoing efforts with the creation of the dedicated "Apple Gold Grant", and now every single dollar we raise goes directly to fund important pediatric cancer research at the Duke Children's Hospital.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation® has was founded in 1980 and granted its first wish in 1981. Since then the organization has continued to enrich the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. To date, more than 250,000 wishes have been granted nationwide!

Throughout our 10-year plus partnership, with our teams passion, commitment and drive to grant wishes we've generated over $1,000,000 and 200 wishes in South Carolina alone! We've see first-hand the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish experience has on children, families, and entire communities. Each year Applebee's conducts several events in support of Make-A-Wish of South Carolina. These events range from in-restaurant fundraising campaigns to golf tournaments to Frisbee golf tournaments to Breakfasts with Santa. We are proud to have Make-A-Wish our charity of choice in South Carolina and looking forward to granting many more wishes!

Communities in Schools of Wake County, North Carolina connects students with community resources and educational opportunities to help them succeed in school and in life. Their vision is that every child has the opportunity to learn and become a productive citizen. Apple Gold Group has been a proud supporter of Communities in Schools of Wake County for over 15 years.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the global leader of the breast cancer research and awareness movement, and the 'Charity of Choice' of our Oklahoma & Arkansas Applebee's. Each fall we invite our guests to donate to Komen for the Cure. For each $1 donated, guests are given a paper ribbon to personalize and hang in the restaurant. In addition to guest donations, our restaurant teams get in the spirit and conduct local events like car washes, bake sales, and festivals to add to our fundraising total. The North Carolina Triangle Area Applebee's restaurants also join the cause by raising donations and Racing for the Cure.
